RAYA "Babies"
I made this as special gift for my new born nephew, Caka..
Based on request of His mother, Mba Henny, I made one Batik shirt and a shirt that can be used with a bow tie. Both sets of shirts and pants will be used for a relative's wedding ceremony this weekend.
Shades of Blue, white and a litle bit of purple is perfect for a new born baby, so light and fresh.
look how cute it is, wait until you see Caka in it.. :D
Ps. This wedding is a celebrity wedding..hmm guess who? spoiler: a guitarist of a famous band in Indonesia with one of Indonesian top model..

the sketch "un voyage"
Un Voyage, a french word means 'a trip' was inspired by abstract paintings made by my father.
There are lots lost and found in life. When we lost something we find a lesson from it. In this collection I tried to interpret a life journey into a piece of white cloth. This collections were made using acrylic paint on white cotton cloths.
Before my father past away, I had an idea about collaborating his painting with my collection. But the idea had not done, so in this event held by LPTB Susan Budihardjo, I take this opportunity to realize my idea.

Batik-ing
I made this Batik Dress a few minutes ago using Kain Batik a 2.5m long fabric. No stitching, just wrap it on my body, this techniques called drapery, usually done on a mannequin. For details I made a big corsage on left shoulder and belt with similar color. With a little creativity and a lot of pins, Voila!

Flower Power
Oh gosh.. it's been a hectic week for me..a lot thing had to do, plus my uncle had a heart attack and had to be treated intensively at the hospital, he never get sick before so we kind'a shock and immediately rushed to the hospital..I'm wishing him getting well soon..
At the end of the week, me and the family had to go to some 'relative' to attend this some kind of 'sacred' meeting.. and I have to be prepare for it.. costume, ESPECIALLY costume..in my wardrobe all i have were a lot of short sleeve T-shirt and dresses.. definitely not the right costume for this occasion..and so I made this semi-formal three forth sleeve blouse instead of just buying it ^^ for one day only!!! Flowery printed on paris cotton fabric brings out my feminine side (I guess..) At the occasion I wore it with a long grey pants, but at this picture here i decided not to for fun and more casual look...and VOILA! not to bad hey...

Visiting MUSEUM TEKSTIL JAKARTA
Last Friday me and Sessi was visiting Museum Tekstil at Tanah Abang Jakarta. To reach the place we only takes 10 to 15 minutes walk from the train station Tanah Abang. We were little surprised to find the location of the Museum were so close, and hidden behind the stall selling used goods.. this is my first time by the way..
The ticket price were only IDR 2.000 for adults and 600 for children, different rates apply for group visitor. Though it's very cheap but we can add our insight about Indonesian fabrics that priceless. With an extra IDR 35.000 we can make our own hand made Batik handkerchief. This activity was very fun and worth to try!! also very addictive...
here also we could find a natural dye garden such as Indigo, teh-tehan merah, etc.. we can also take home this natural dye plant seeds for only IDR 20.000.. i'm felling like want to planting my garden with it all..
I LOVE MAKING BATIK, i can stand sit for hours just making it.. as I said earlier it's addictive..
