UI FASHIONWEEK 2014 #latepost

Well as you can see in the title, this is a late post about my last event. RAYA, my brand, was joining UI FASHIONWEEK 2014 at Mall Kota Kasablanka 21-24 August'14. It went well. So here's some pictures from the scene...

Press Conference

Saturday, December 8th 2012, Metro Dept. Store and LPTB Susan Budihardjo are having Press Conference and fashion show in order to introduced 11 brands from 12 young and talented alumni of the fashion school.  

Fashion show was held on 2nd floor at Metro Dept. Store Plaza Senayan.

Panda Dress

Before the green dress earlier. I also made a panda dress. I called it panda dress, because it has black and white color. ...
well actually my client had the idea. and because I made a mistake with the size, so I made another one for her. Thankfully the size fits me and the wrong size is mine. hehe.. (I hope I don't do this often or I'll end up having a twin, because I made 2 same clothes.

I love green. maybe that's why -after I looked at my closet- almost all my clothes are, you know...green.
and again, I made another green mini dress..
A simple A-line, 60's inspired, mix it with batik. Lovely. Very casual.

and to complete my look I made a necklace. made from deconstructed bracelet. a "thank you gift" from a friend's wedding. Then I'm adding two Kanzashi I just learned no so long ago. I guess it's quite ok. remembering i'm not an accessories designer.

flowery brooch

I learn something new after seeing Vogue Pattern, a Kanzashi. Kanzashi is a traditional Japanese art form of folding and stitching flower petals. Use it on jackets or shirt, as jewelry or to embellish home decore. Nice magazine. 

I made this flowery brooch for my client. as complimentary. 

With a Swarovsky in the middle (green) and Black flower brooch with silver-gold button and sequins.

baby shirts and experiments

Hi! Hi!

I made babies shirt again (and man shirt) for my 1 y.o nephew.  I made 2. 1 batik, and 1 I experiment. Tie dye..

this two are a simple motives that I learn from Shibory book. There's plenty of insane motives in that book that I just can't follow...yet. 

I did a view motives experiments but it ended with this two motives.. and bule marine for the color.

and this is pictures of Caka wearing them (his father also wearing tie dye shirt I made). They're twins! too bad mommy didn't wear the same.


I looooove tie dye. hope next time I can blog about DIY tie dye step by step. with pictures and everything.

Backless Red

a family of mine asked me to made her a gown. it will be wear to an old friend's wedding party + reunion, in a hotel in Singapore.

She chose Red color for the dress..backless drapery gown with a little bit of Swarovski crystals at the waist and sequins at the shoulder. It's Sexy and Glamour, but not to much.

RAYA "Babies"

I made this as special gift for my new born nephew, Caka..

Based on request of His mother, Mba Henny, I made one Batik shirt and a shirt that can be used with a bow tie. Both sets of shirts and pants will be used for a relative's wedding ceremony this weekend.

Shades of Blue, white and a litle bit of purple is perfect for a new born baby, so light and fresh.

look how cute it is, wait until you see Caka in it.. :D

Ps. This wedding is a celebrity wedding..hmm guess who? spoiler: a guitarist of a famous band in Indonesia with one of Indonesian top model..
